  • Background

Established in 1989 by Henry and Jane Schneider, the Schneider Foundation is a private organization committed to provide support for non-profit organizations that enhance the education of self-motivated, extraordinary children. The Foundation places highest priority on projects in the Springfield, Missouri area. In the past, significant grants have been made to The Summit Preparatory Academy, the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools for the International Baccalaureate program, and Drury University’s Summerscape program for gifted children.

  • Limitations

The Schneider Foundation does not wish to consider applications for support of individual scholarships or endowment campaigns and events. Normally the Foundation will not consider requests for general fundraising drives. The Foundation does not support nongovernmental agencies or organizations without a 501(c)(3) IRS determination letter. Most grants are expected to be between $5,000 and $25,000 although there are no fixed minimum or maximum amounts.
